Á námskeiðinu Raftónlist fara leiðbeinendurnir Ólöf Benediktsdóttir og Nína yfir helstu tæki og tól sem þarf að kunna skil á til að gera raftónlist. Námskeiðið miðar að því að veita breiðan grunn til að koma þátttakendum af stað í að gera tónlist með tölvu eða rafhljóðfærum. Stiklað verður á stóru um lagasmíðar, hljóðfræði, tónfræði, upptökutækni og hljóðblöndun. Þátttakendur vinna í sínu eigin tónverki og í lok námskeiðsins ættu þau öll að hafa vísi að tilbúnu verki eða fullklárað tónverk.
Á námskeiðinu verður kennt á Ableton, en nemendur fá ábendingar um sambærileg forrit sem hægt er að nota ókeypis. Æskilegt er að vera með fartölvu á námskeiðinu, en það er þó ekki nauðsynlegt.

Kennt er á föstudögum milli 17 og 19 í Völvufelli 17, 111 Reykjavík.

Námskeiðið er fyrir öll 18+ konur, trans menn, kvár og intersex fólk.

Kennarar
Nína er 27 ára kvár sem komið að starfi Stelpur Rokka / Læti! síðan 2023 Nína lauk tónsmíðarnámi við raftónlist í LHÍ árið 2023 og er núna nemandi í rythmískri söng og hljóðfærakennslu við sama skóla. Í tónlistarsköpun sinni nýtir Nína sér margvíslegar mismunandi aðferðir, bæði elektrónískar og akústískar, og á námskeiðinu mun hán miðla einhverjum af þessum aðferðum til nemenda.
Ólöf Benediktsdóttir nýtir sér ýmsa miðla í sinni listsköpun, bæði tónlist, myndlist og ljóðlist. Þegar hún er ekki að skapa sína eigin list starfar hún við hljóðmennsku og sem verkefnastýra tónlistarmiðstöðvar Stelpur Rokka / Læti! Á námskeiðinu mun hún miðla tæknilegri þekkingu til nemenda og leiðbeina þeim í upptökutækni og hljóðblöndun.

ENGLISH
In the Electronic Music course, the instructors Ólöf and Nína go over the main tools and equipment you need to know how to make electronic music.
The course aims to provide a broad foundation to get participants started in making music with a computer or electronic instruments. Songwriting, acoustics, music theory, recording techniques and mixing will be covered. Participants will work on their own composition and at the end of the course they should all have a sketch of a finished piece or a finished composition.
The course will be taught on Ableton but students will get tips on similar programs that can be used for free. It is preferable to have a laptop during the course, but it is not necessary.
Where and when?
Classes are held on Fridays between 5 and 7 pm at Völvufell 17, 111 Reykjavík.
The first meeting will be on Friday, October 13.
For whom?
The course is open for individuals of marginalized genders (female, trans, non-binary and intersex) over 18 years old.

Lesson 2 - 20. October - Recording techniques and acoustics. The class will be taught in a recording studio in Reykjavík's library in Úlfarárdalur.

Instructors
Nína is a 27-year-old non-binary musician who has been involved in Stelpur Rokka / Læti! since 2023. Nína completed a composition course in electronic music at LHÍ in 2023 and is now a student in rhythmic singing and instrument teaching at the same school. In her music creation, Nína uses many different methods, both electronic and acoustic, and during the course she will share some of these methods with the students.
Ólöf Benediktsdóttir uses various media in her artistic creation, both music, art and poetry. When she is not creating her own art, she works as a sound engineer and as project manager of the music center Stelpur Rokka / Læti! During the course, she will impart technical knowledge to students and guide them in recording techniques and sound mixing.
Price
The price is optional, but the standard participation fee is 17.000 ISK*
We encourage participants to apply for a grant at their union for the course fee.
*No participants will be turned away due to lack of funds. If the participant does not expect to be able to pay the minimum fee, please state in the registration form the amount the participant is able to pay for the course. Please note that subsidized places are mainly intended for less wealthy participants.
